About Us

Who are we?

NuMonic Dance Team is a registered club at UTM. For the past 3 years our competitive team has been competing at several Ontario urban dance competitions such as OUCH, BYOB, and The Academy.

But wait ....why NuMonic you ask? Let us tell you!
Mnemonic (noun): "a device such as a pattern of letters, ideas, OR associations that assists in remembering something."
Using mnemonic as our inspiration, we decided to create our own word where the "Nu" represents "new", producing "NuMonic" meaning to make new memories. 

With this in mind we want to create new memories and build our experiences together as a team and as a family, without forgetting how we started and how we found each other. 🤘

Competitive Dance Team

The NuMonic Dance Team is an audition required team. This year, our team will be competing under the Post Secondary division at dance competitions. The team will also participate at showcases throughout the year.

Monthly Workshops

Our club will be holding 2 guest choreographer workshops per month. Each workshop will be 1.5 hours and will be taught by quality instruction from locally renowned choreographers across the GTA. Stay updated with our social media to see which choreographer will be teaching up next!​​
